NCTech have released a new $13,000 scanner at Google Next:

https://www.nctechimaging.com/lasiris/

a new pro camera at $2,899

https://www.nctechimaging.com/iris360-pro/

along with new ColourCloud software

with OnestopVR software........

scan data from the LASiris can be seen on a short video on the ColourCloud page and data should be available to download next week.

Very interesting!

The first rival to the new Leica, even cheaper and no Recap.

Look forward to learning about the registration process.

Thanks for posting.

Richard.

Cool.

I'm interested to know a bit more about the accuracy. A 3D accuracy of 30mm is quoted, but at what range?

Much like with the new Leica, people are going to be interested in using this as a mobile scanner.

Can registration be done in Cyclone using targets, if so, to what accuracy? or is it all cloud to cloud? really interested to learn more about the registration process.
