Model display by Revit family

Post by duff138 »

Is it possible to make this an option? I am finding that when working on jobs it is impossible to know which pipes have been changed from pipes to conduits. Any conduit that has not been correctly identified as a conduit imports into Revit as a pipe and also the elbow bend radius then reverts to the pipes default.
Most of the time I am finding I then have to delete the conduits and re-draw them inside of Revit as conduits, which I am hoping to avoid. thanks

That sounds like a good idea. Have you suggested that to Clearedge?

The way I work around this is just to create a layer named conduit and change the layer as I go. Then at the end change all of the pipes on the conduit layer to the appropriate Revit family. So during the modeling process I just set display model to Layer, very helpful for sorting out different pipe types.
