The new Undet ToolBox V2 beta testing

Post by Aurelijus »

Hello dear forum members,

We are releasing a new Undet ToolBox version, which is a heavy extension of the primary release.
This version has new bunch of great functions like:
- True View Navigation inside AutoCAD
- Meshing and Texturing
- Deformation Analysis
- Smart Board Modelling
- Automated Feature Extraction

You can read more about it in our blog post of Functionality Overview:
http://www.undet.com/blog/toolbox-v2-overview/

We are looking for some volunteers that would like to test new features on their point cloud projects.
We will provide you with the beta trial license until the official release (in about 1 month).
We will also show you a 1,5 hour live demo prior the giveaway of trial, so you could use Undet properly.

If you would like to evaluate it, give me a shout over here or fulfill this short trial request form:
http://www.undet.com/download-trial/
[Please, write down 'LSF' in the comment field, so I will know it is you!]

Cheers!
Regards,
Aurelijus Petraitis

Nice job Aurelijus,
I've already filled the trial request online, but because I haven't received a confirmation message I'm posting my request also here.

Thanks a lot

Hi Sergio,

I've just checked and I saw that we received your request.
I've also tested trial request form, and it works. Autoreply with confirmation also works.
Maybe the confirmation email went to your junk/spam folder?

Anyway, talk to you soon!

Hello Aurelijus,
I see Undet works inside AutoCAD, but is it possible to get it to work in an AutoCAD clone too? eg GstarCAD?

Hi Jason,

It will not work on ACAD clones because our point cloud engine is based on pcg (improved pcg with our indexing).
Therefore, we stick with AutoCAD and its verticals so far.

Cheers

Hello everyone!

I hope you had great Easters, relaxing Worker’s day, lovely Mother’s day and other holidays that appeared around the globe in the past weeks. I didn’t post anything during this period and that’s thanks to you! After the last post regarding our beta release of the new Undet ToolBox version we received lots of request for beta trial evaluation. So all of the time I’ve been providing one on one live demos to all of you and I really appreciate your interest, spent time and received feedback on our software.

During this marathon of online demos I came up with an idea to prepare a post which should clarify some uncertainties that appeared during our discussions. I named it ‘Merged & Decimated vs Separate & Full. Undet ToolBox Philosophy’. My goal of this post is to clearly express the way creators of the software think, focus their developments and how can you benefit from it in your point cloud processing workflows. And believe me, you sure will.
You can read more about it in our blog: http://www.undet.com/blog/

Cheers
