UNDET Browser | It is worth to see for everyone FARO WebShare cloud service user

Post by mariusP »

Sharing UNDET Browser functionality video on AutoCAD.

Most important that Undet Browser has two-way communication between SCENE WebShare cloud and Undet plugins.

You can easily:
  • Draw points in AutoCAD by clicking them in UNDET Browser.
  • Easily generate picture of interest and mark it’s position in AutoCAD project.
  • Translate (shift) current view section (Clipping box) to preferred place.
  • Change AutoCAD project elevation.
  • Locate Scans station view from the SCENE WebShare cloud: By picking a point cloud point or Scan station center.

Yes, Undet browser can be used with:
  • Undet for AutoCAD
  • Undet for Ares Commander
  • Undet for Revit

Really cool.

Are you getting any further with enabling it for Scene2Go?

Is there an update coming for the Autocad version any time soon?
Last one, any developments on a Bricscad version?

Cheers

We also supporting NavVis indoorviewer with Undet browser. https://www.navvis.com/indoorviewer

Alo we have 3D viewer in Undet for AutoCAD tool, with similar functions. You can load scan station panoramic view in Undet 3D viewer, by double-clicking on position center or selecting position -> right click -> Undet -> 3D viewer.
Using 3D viewer you will able:
- Snap to point cloud (2D / 3D mode)
- Start function and end in UNDET 3D browser. Example: place floor or ceiling annotation block
- Translate (shift) current view section to preferred place (in 3D space, only on XY plane, or Z Direction)

After analyzing low-cost AutoCAD alternatives, we chose the Ares Commander platform.

Hi Marius,

Thanks for ghetting back to me.

Not quite the answers I was hoping for!

Scene2Go can't be too different to webshare cloud and would save an expense and make it useful for more people.
I know the 3D viewer, the undet browser though looks to be visually better and easier to navigate with.

Undet for Autocad 2021 will it have any improvements or new features or is it simply an update for compatibility?

Bricscad - Thats a shame. Is there any technical reason why not? On a personal level enabling Bricscad would allow me to have one piece of CAD software to carry out all my tasks, I don't desire having separate CAD applications for different tasks, I want it all unified into one.

Cheers

We will consider it, in further UNDET development. But in the near future, we are not planning SCENE2GO support with UNDET browser.

Not only compatibility will be new tools.

There were technical problems with the programming part. With Ares Commander platform everything was the opposite:
- better point cloud integration possibility, comparing to other platforms (bricscad, intellicad ...)
- Good direct communication with development team.

Hi Marius,
Please let me know if its possible for me to create custom .Net tools in AutoCAD, that will allow me to create commands that will integrate with the UNDET browser?
Many thanks,

Jason
