Exporting TIN surfaces from Cyclone to Civil 3D

Post by mluis »

Greetings.

I'm exporting several stockpiles TIN surfaces, for that purpose i separate each stockpile TIN surface in one individual layer inside Cyclone (called STK 1, STK2, etc.). I then export all of the TIN surfaces using landXML format, and finally load it into Civil 3D.

My problem is, when i load the landXML file in Civil 3D the surfaces created there are named Mesh 1, Mesh 2, Mesh 3, etc....

Anyone knows if there is a way way in Cyclone to setup the names that will be used to export in the landXML file? For example, assume the same naming given in the layers inside Cyclone (STK 1, STK 2, etc.) ?

Worst case scenario i'll just have to edit the names manually in Civil 3D :?
