Simulate Fire moving through Modelled house

Post by Aaron_Hazen » Mon Sep 30, 2019 5:31 pm

Hi There,

We have a job to model a house that has burned down. They have an engineer that knows the path the fire took, but what they want to do if possible, is to show the fire as it moves through the building.

I was wondering if there are any apps for Revit or Navisworks that may help with fire simulation? Maybe specific fire families?

All assistance is appreciated!

RiVR has some nutty Fire Investigations stuff, while I don't know if they use Revit explicitly, they might know of something.

Hey Aaron,

I have done something similar, i exported Revit model to sketchup and there i have applied fire burned path, if you want to add to the model i guess creating the split surface and adding the material could be an option.

Thanks

3ds Max or Maya will make your life a lot easier for fire effects...
