We are trying to test the new E57 format with our new plugin Clouds2Max.
When we export the files we get a very large export (5.02 GB).
Even when we delete a large portion of the cloud so we are down to a couple of square meters and export, the file size is exactly the same as if it were not decimated at all.
The file is the same even if we try to decimate it on export by selecting every 25 for rows and columns.
Is there a chance it is exporting from the raw scans instead of the specific revision's .fls files?
Scene 5.0.0.28175
Windows 7 Professional
60 GB of RAM
12 cores
Thanks,
David

Re: Exporting E57 format
OK, I re-imported the exported E57 file to SCENE.
Upon importation it contains the same original total points the scan files and contained all the individual scans.
Do we need to create a local workspace and export from that?
David
EDIT: The small section we exported (a few meters square) does come in as smaller object (in SCENE) but the interface still shows it as having the original number of points...
