Delete points by intensity

Post by MalteHC » Fri Jun 08, 2018 8:57 am

Hi All

I have a pointcloud, where i want to clean out points, that doesnt concern the steel contruction. By changing the range in the itensity, i can see that i can filter out almost alle the non steel points, by itensity. Does anyone know if, it is possible to delete points in 3DReshaber by itensity?

Hi HC,
this is one of the new feature from the 2018 version: Cloud/Automatic filter by Inspection value.

See images below.
Image 1: the initial cloud with all points colored according to intensity.
Image 2: the points inside a given range of intensity are isolated
Image 3: the points outside a given range of intensity are isolated

From this command, you can keep:
  • The 2 clouds (the one with the points inside the range AND the one with the points outside the range)
  • Only the cloud with the points INSIDE the range but get rid of the points OUTSIDE the range
  • Only the cloud with the points OUTSIDE the range but get rid of the points INSIDE the range
