Hi everyone,
I've got a Trimble TX5 Scanner,
I've got a GNSS system (Topcon GRS-1)
I've got a good laptop, with Trimble Realworks 10.1
I've got a car,
I've got a smartphone.
do you think it is possible to create a complete mobile mapping system with all of these pieces ?
Can we start and record scans as helical mode, with a smartphone or must we absolutly buy complete faro kit to create cheap mobile mapping solution ? (ref. white book found on faro's blog)
Convert Trimble TX5 to mobile mapping ?

Re: Convert Trimble TX5 to mobile mapping ?
I think you are oversimplifying things a little. You need something to keep track of the small drift which will accumulate into larger errors.
Now if I could stick a Google Tango phone on the scanner and walk around...
