RiScan 2D Scan View export

Post by piotr.pioro »

Hi,

is there a way to export the 2D scan view to a high resolution graphic file? Unfortunately, in addition to print screen I can't find any possibility.

Regards,

Piotr

Hi,

Yes, there is - right-click in the 3D view and choose "create plot".
You need to be in orthogonal mode for the option to be available.

Play around with the settings a bit, to get the best outcome.
You might find the output file looks quite 'thin' - if you increase the point display size before you create the plot, it will fill in some of the empty space between the points.

You can save to .tiff, bmp, jpg and pdf formats.

Cheers,
Joe

Hi Joe,

Thank you for your reply but I would like to export the image in order to have a panoramic view of the position. I would like to do something like a virtual tour from scans colored by intensity. This will be very helpfull to me.

Regards,

Piotr

Piotr,

Apologies - I did not read your original post properly!
I do not think that it is possible to do this.

There is a new tool from Riegl coming out soon which will allow you to publish this kind of information over the internet - hopefully I'll be able to post some more information on the forum soon.

Cheers,
Joe
