Hello,
I'm new in Riscan Pro and have some problems with finding the right way to extract the ground points. The point cloud that I uses is recieved from mobile scanning and proccessed by Riprocess. I know that there is a way to do that in Riproccess but I'm sure there is way to do this in Riscan pro. There is a lot of trees, buildings, fences and e.c.
If someone is working a lot with this software I'll be glad if help me with this and other appered issues.
Thanks in advance.

Re: ground points
Curbs ets can be done easily with 3d polylines. There is a functiob to code like a surveyor but for lightposts etc it is not so easy.
Riscan only picks at a point, you cannot slice and try to pick the center of the pole, there is nothing so you can't pick anything. I would hope Riegl would implement a point which is the center of three points on a circle. This wouls eliminate a lot of problems.
I have a workaround but it uses Riscan, Pointcab and Civil 3d. Or you look at something like topodot.

Re: ground points
I want to clear everything(curbs, fences buildings vegetations ) except the topo. The vegetation filter works but the cloud is too big and take lot of time to clear a small piece of the terrain.

Re: ground points
you have to make an octree at every 5 cm in x, y and z.
Then you filter. Never filter in the original cloud!
