Hello Tejeswar.
First of all what kind of monuments are you going to scan and what size?
As for the drawings you can easily get some cross-sections and layouts in most of software solutions.
What software to choose for 3d modelling, it depends on what type of 3d models you are going to produce: mesh or CAD
The LS120 in most of cases is ok, but there are also some more precise and accurate long-range scanners on the market.
Cheers,
Maxim

I think the right software for your applications is Rhinoceros 3D + Pointools plugin for NURBS/solid modelling.
And Geomagic or Rapidform for meshing. Software for meshing must be 64-bit edition otherwise you will have painful experience with processing of large data sets.
Btw, what about registration of the scans, have you got any software for doing that from Faro?

Pointools 4 Rhino training movies
http://www.pointools.com/pt4rhino_training.php
Pointools plugin itself is very easy to use, it's more important to be skilled enough in Rhino.
Geomagic products traning:

Rapidform tutorials:

Also pay your attention to this JRC 3D Reconstructor program.

Seems to be nice software for pointcloud texturing
