Petroglyphs-South Mountain, Arizona

Post by 3DForensics »

Had a chance to visit South Mountain in Arizona where they have some Petroglyphs. Lots of fun searching these out. I was climbing like a mountain goat!

Thanks to Wes Grimes for use of his scanner. This was a Focus 120 and I was a little pressed for time. 1/5 resolution scans with color. I've left the scanner positions in the video.

Yes, all cloud2cloud registration and it all seemed to come together fine after a little adjustment. Since the 120 has no GPS, I tried to place myself in the perspective of the scanner to see what would be the best scan positions. I think choosing the right path up the mountain (and back down) helped.

Thanks!
