cleaning pointcloud profiles

Post by cerene_olivier »

Hello

Which tools do you use to clean profiles extracted from point cloud in tunnel applications ?
Do you clean point cloud before or after profile extractions ?

For the moment I mainly use TMS Tunnel and clean profile after extraction.
It works quite great but very very very time consuming (and quite boring)

Do you have any advices about it ?

We currently still use GRP Office to process and clean profiles collected from Amberg GRP5000 track trolley systems.
Repetative, boring? yes! But in something so critical, we can not have any risk of any software potentially cleaning out an obstruction that a human operator would leave in.

I agree
It is so critical we can't leave a software do all the work
But I wonder how it could be improve
For instance, we could have a software that make a preselection of points
Also we could clean several profiles at a time ...

What is the difference between GRP Office and TMS Office ?
