BIM to Cyclone

Post by Dave Davey »

Hi,

I've been sent a BIM model in Navisworks and I need to get this into Cyclone to show in Leica TruView. Is there a COE export from Navisworks or an easier route?

You could take it to AutoCAD and export a .coe file form there. You will need the .coe plugin for AutoCAD (free) from Leica. However, I think you will have a lot of trouble trying to get it to look any good in Cyclone. Cyclone and anything other than basic primitive solid objects is asking for trouble. Why not look at getting your scan data into Navisworks and presenting it from there instead?

Ok - good luck with that. I'm honestly interested to see the results.

what was the original author software, as you will probably need this as not much comes out of Navisworks
