I can safely say there will be a lot of you who are very happy with the new features and functions in Cyclone 7. As a beta tester I am throwing all sorts at it.

It is stable, seems to throw around big clouds rather nicely and has a raft of new features which will benefit both phase & TOF users alike.

Keeps your eyes pealed and your ears to the ground... currently I am happy with what I am seeing and experiencing.

I think there are not other mesh formats, but I made a program for "msh" conversion see http://www.laserscanning.org.uk/forum/v ... 304#p13354

One maybe interesting new feature may be that after a mutual agreement between our two companies, Cyclone 7 is now able to read our binary FARO scan files (FLS).
So there is no more detour via PTX export from FARO Scene and then import into Cyclone necessary.

The other way round, FARO Scene v4.6 is capable of reading both PTX and PTZ files.

Hi all,
I have some Faro files scanned in february and I can't open them in Cyclone 7.1. :(
Has anybody encoutered the same problem?

Best wishes,
Sandrine

If you have used Focus 3D then you wont be able to import them into Cyclone directly, as Faro uses a newer file format than the one supported by Cyclone.

I would recommend to contact the Leica support. They should have the latest version of the FARO import DLLs.
Should be simple to replace them and get you running.
